When this VIRUS infects the Pendrives the files inside are hidden and not visible to us. But when we see the capacity of the Pendrives, it shows that either the drive is full or required amout of files are there in it.
So in this case we are usally formatting the Pendrive. So along with the virus the hidden files are also formatted.
Here is the solution to recover the virus infected files in Pendrive without using any Software.
Yes you can. Just follow these steps
- Insert your Pendrive in your PC or Laptop
- Go to Start - Run - cmd and then click enter
- Now in the command prompt enter the drive which your pendrive is located. Eg. If your Pendrive is located in G: drive enter as G: and then press enter
- Enter the following code with proper space. Better you can copy and paste this code given in red color highlighted below
- attrib -h -s -r /s /d *.*
- Wait for some Seconds
- Now go back and Check your PenDrive.
- Your lost files are back

attrib -s -h /s /d *.* command makes all the folders including system related folders to appear. which is bit messy, by using dir/ah command we can easily identify the Virus effected directories easily.
This command helps to unhide the hidden folder which are greatly effected by virus in Flash Drives .
